Blinkx AdHoc

Blinkx Adhoc is a new video advertising platform that will let you as a publisher, take the embed code of any of the videos online like on YouTube and Google Video, and others, and place them one your website with a related advertisement embedded in the video. You earn money when someone clicks on the ad.

As an advertiser you are only paying per click and they state that:
“Our clever technology matches relevant, in-video text ads to any video.”

We’ll we are going to test this out and see what happens. Below is an ad I picked out to use for the test.

As you can see I picked some funny cat outtakes. How relevant is the ad compared to the video being played or the content on this page?

Please comment what you see so I can get an idea of the effectiveness of their backend that is matching the ads.

I’ll update this later as I play around a little more with the video ads.
