MySpace founders Chris DeWolfe And Tom Anderson interviewed on the NBC Today Show

While working I overheard an interview taking place on the tube (flat panel) and thought it may interest some of my readers. So for those of you that are not aware of the reach or the user base of MySpace then the video is definitely recommended reading. One thing that caught my attention was that over 85% of the users are over the age 18. It is also the fastest growing website with over 1oo million users worldwide. They were some more facts that I cannot remember of the top of my head so you’ll just have to watch it.

Now after you watch it, you should ask yourself is “is their a potentiol to find new markets on social networks such as myspace”?

I couldn’t resist so I went ahead and did a few searches on MySpace and these are the results:

Charlotte NC Real Estate

Results 1 - 10 of about 548 for real estate charlotte nc.

Truck Accessories

Results 1 - 10 of about 3,320 for truck accessories

TV networks and movie studios are also paying attention. Look at how Myspace will allow the main homepage be an advertisement.

If you dedicate the time I am sure you could find some possibilities that would be worth pursuing.

Watch the video, check it out for yourself and come to your own conclusions.

Google has Gone Social

Shared Stuff from Craig B

You can now share news stories with others easily as you would with Technorati, Reddit and others. It is not showing the video embedded in the share page just yet, but I can put money on it that it is just a matter of time. I tried it with a youtube share and it just shows a link to the video.

Place your ads where they work best for you

Google AdWords: Whats New?

Place your ads where they work best for you
Publisher-defined placements are a new feature of AdWords site-targeted campaigns. Publishers now can offer specific ad positions to advertisers: a news site might offer a placement only on the upper half of its main sports page, for instance, or a spot in the right column of all movie pages.

The result? You target not just the pages but the precise positions on the Google Content Network that work best for you.

We’ve changed the AdWords Site Tool to help you find these new options. When a site has relevant publisher-defined placements, they will be listed beneath the site’s URL in the Site Tool search results. (See fandango.com in the example below.) To see all the placements for a given site, click the new ‘View all placements’ link, also found beneath the site’s URL.

The Blogrush has HIT!

Get you picks, pans and shovels er maybe that should read, get your blogs, subscribers and websites ready for the Blogrush.

If you notice on the right you will see a new widget called the Blogrush widget. What this widget is suppose to do is show relevant information from other bloggers in your vertical. So for this blog I picked marketing (I would have picked Internet but they didn’t have one, go figure…)

We’ll test it out to see how it does and report back later. The Googletutor is reporting 182 visitors in 24 hours.
