Getting jiggy with Google Trends
2 comments so farGoogle Trends Today is my mashup of Google Trends. My mashup is an RSS feed/webpage/email that is updated periodically throughout the day to give myself an idea of what the current most popular search terms are according to Google. Of course this is not a natural list, if it were you would see a number of “adult” terms that are not currently listed.
Google does not have a RSS feed for Google Trends so I had to create my own. My feed is actually showing you the changes in the positions of the search terms which Google is currently not doing. I guess you could call it Trending.
These terms are being updated in as close as real time as Google can get so if you try to compare my list with theirs you will see some differences. This is because by the time I take the results, whip it in an rss feed, and then syndicate it, it will have already changed some.
My mashup is still better than having to going to Google throughout the day to find out manually all day. One of the biggest advantages of the Internet is the ability to automate. If you are not automating your processes you will find yourself falling behind.

GREAT JOB! Brilliant way to address a need that MANY of us didn’t even know we had… until we read your post!!!
Thanks in advance!
Thanks Kathy, there are several services out there that will allow you to do this. I used Feedwhip for this example.
